Dear Pat and Family
I am very sorry about David's passing. Dave, my true friend and mentor, our fishing times together will never be duplicated nor compromised. We were like three kids in a big pond. The day David landed a 27 lb King Salmon after a very long and hard fight his dream was to smoke the fish. Those times catching salmon and perch on Lake Ontario with our great friend Jim will live in memory forever. Rest in peace our friend, you are now with the greatest fisherman there ever was. God bless you David
The Captain.
In the few times I had the pleasure to meet Mr.Phillips at his neighboring hunting camp he portrayed the qualities and conversation of a truly fun and generous man. I will miss his stories but will always keep him in my thoughts during any future visits to the camp or land he enjoyed so much. My sympathy goes out to his family and all those who knew him.
Dave was one of the most amazing guys I have ever come across, he was kind, generous and a gracious host. Great teacher and mentor. Knowing him was a privilege and an honor for me
DEAR PAT AND FAMILY, OF COURSE IT WAS SHOCKING TO READ OF DAVE'S PASSING. AND JUST AS SHOCKING AS PERHAPS TED SR'S OR PAULA CALI'S. BUT THEN AGAIN WE DO NOT KNOW THE HOUR NOR THE DAY. I PRAY THAT EACH OF YOU CALL UPON YOUR FAITH AND FAMILY FOR THE STRENGTH TO CARRY ON IN THE MANNER HE WOULD HAVE WANTED. DAVE WAS A MAN OF PRINCIPLE AND OF DEVOTION TO HIS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY. I AM CERTAIN HE WILL BE IN GOD'S KINGDOM INVENTING THIS OR THAT FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WITH HIM WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY LOOKING DOWN UPON HIS FAMILY HERE TO BE CERTAIN ALL IS WELL. BE CLEAR SOME THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME FOR THERE WAS ONLY ONE DAVE SR. AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE MEMORIES! MUCH LOVE MARGARET ANTONUCCI
