Lima - Passed quietly on February 4, 2023 at age 92. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, William Ruth; daughter, Kerry Garfinkel; sons, Kristian (Brenda) Otis, Kevin Otis; grandchildren, Keith, Kathy Garfinkel, Kristian, Timothy Otis, Kimberly, Marissa, Rachelle Otis, Amber Wilcox, Lacey Petty, Cody Otis; step sons, Wilbern and William Ruth; several nieces and nephews.
Sherlee was predeceased by her father, Lewis Sellinger; mother, Edna Curts; son, Kirke Otis; daughter, Karylsue Otis; sisters, June Rossi, Lois Bosco.
Sherlee was born in Williamsport, PA December 25, 1930. She graduated from Monroe High School and Monroe Community College as well as Genesee School of Nursing class of 1951. She was a member of the Lima and Honeoye Falls Historical Societies. Past member of the New York Postcard Club and edited their monthly newsletter. She was a genealogist, fine cook and a herbal gardener. She loved her family very much.
Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1 – 3 PM at the O’Connell – Dougherty Funeral Home 2041 Lake Ave. Lima. Private interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lima Historical Society PO Box 532 Lima, NY 14485 or Honeoye Falls Historical Society PO Box 26 Honeoye Falls, NY 14472 in her memory.
