AVON - July 5, 2022 at age 77. She is survived by her children, Shawn (David) Bryson, Ivan Atkins; granddaughter, Jennifer (Alexander) Batsios; great granddaughter, Effie; siblings Martha, Esther, Steve, Sherman, Gary; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Genevieve and Doctor Simpson, brothers, David, Albert, Richard, Ted,
Donnie, Danny; sister, Patricia. Genevieve was a lifelong resident of Avon, NY, proud member and
Matriarch of the Simpson family, hard-worker, lover of movies and a lifelong learner.
Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11 AM at the Stephenson – Dougherty Funeral Home, 350 Genesee Street, Avon. Interment Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Avon Food Pantry 96 Prospect Street Avon, NY 14414 or the First Presbyterian Church of East Avon PO Box 189
