August 9, 2022 at age 91. He is survived by his children, Deborah McCaffrey, Timothy (Betty) Doran; grandchildren, Shaun Doran, Shannon (David) Shanks, Peter (Kyoka) Dykas, Nicole (Daniel) Lipinski, Jennifer Doran (Mark Terry), Kellie Doran; 5 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Patricia Doran.
Bernie was predeceased by his wife Roberta A. Doran; son, Michael Doran; 3 sisters, Eileen Wyant, Anne Hubertson, Margaret Telgenhoff; 4 brothers, Robert, Raymond, Gerald, Charles Doran.
He was a member for over 60 years of the Henrietta Fire Co District #1 were he started in 1961. He was also a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society for over 50 years. He was an Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Avon American Legion and VFW Posts. Bernie and his wife were avid campers and traveled many place in their lifetime.
His graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 10 AM at Ascension Gardens Cemetery, 1900 Pinnacle Road, Henrietta. Reception will follow at 11:30 AM at the Henrietta Fire Department, 3129 East Henrietta Rd., Henrietta In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Joseph Gallipeau American Legion Post # 294, 5480 East Avon Road, Avon, NY 14414 in his memory.
