My love and prayers that joyful memories hold close to all Ann's beloved family and friends at this sad and tender time.
I met Ann when Corinne drove her down to NYC to see the show she was Musical Directing that I was in. It was like meeting a long lost family member! "Oh Lynn!" she exclaimed in her deep voice, "you were all just wonderful!" From then on, cookies and goodies came regularly to our Company's back stage. So I sent cookies upstate. She asked for my recipe, and then proceeded to improve it with great delight! When I was moving to Las Vegas, I drove up to Caledonia to visit a few days and I stayed at Ann's home. I knew this was a high honor and indeed great fun. I teased Ann about staying in a room with multiple dolls looking at me!! "Oh Lynn!" she laughed and proceeded to tell me the history of the Shirley Temple doll and other noted porcelain ladies.
Next morning I trundled downstairs, rested and refreshed, to be met with a gaggle of friends and neighbors who had stopped by for coffee and a chat. Everyone greeted me kindly even though I was still in pj's! Ann said she was happy I was comfortable enough to be relaxed in her house. I soon learned many folks stopped over to chat from early morning and Ann greeted everyone (fully dressed) with love and news and the latest story about her beloved family.
Ann had that wonderful ability to make everyone feel special and loved, with a twinkle in her eye. She knew my brother Brian loved her almond cookies so would always send a delicious box of them during the Holiday season. A couple years ago we sent Ethyl M chocolates to her for Christmas. Ann said she thoroughly enjoyed one every evening and told Corinne she was really sleeping well lately. Did I mention they had liquor centers? We all had a good chuckle over that one.
Thank you everyone in the Jerris/Aquilina clan for sharing your beautiful mom, beloved Ann with my brother and myself. Though it is a loss for us on earth, I believe Ann is in heaven with a fresh pot of coffee telling with great pride how amazing her family is!
God bless,
Lynn Eldredge

My family & I first met Ann at her son Jim's Antique store, The Avon Trading Post. Many years ago, we walked in & there she was with a big smile on her face. A beautiful & kind Lady who took to us like we were part of her family. She always had something wonderful to share with us, especially her delicious Italian cookies& stories of her family. It was like being with my late Grandmother all over again. Sometimes, we spent more time sitting & speaking with her than shopping in the store. She always bragged of her wonderful children & their great successes. It showed how proud she was of all of them & how much family meant to her. I remember her saying that she loved how my children were always with my husband & I. That it was the way a family should be. It is because of her pride in her daughter Corinne that my son attends Nazareth College & studies in the Theater Arts Program under her. We will always be grateful to Ann for telling us to look into such a wonderful College. To the entire Jerris Family, we send our love, prayers, and condolences. God took a beautiful flower for his garden & Heaven truly gained an Angel in Ann. May you all find love & peace in your wonderful memories of her. Love, Kathy
