Geneseo – Schenectady, NY July 26, 2018 at age 86. Donna was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Richard Trzaskos, in 1996. She is survived by her children, Brian (Joyce) Trzaskos of Geneseo, David (Diana) Trzaskos of NC, Dawn Chisholm (Howell Bradford) of GA; grandchildren Brian Trzaskos (Shelby Przybylek), James Trzaskos, David Trzaskos (Jeremy Martin), Anthony Leeds-Malley; many friends and extended family members.
Donna was a devoted member of her Catholic faith. After raising her children, she worked in food service at the Niskayuna Central School. She was a Past President, and lifetime member, of Rotterdam VFW Post 1895 Auxiliary: VFW volunteer coordinator at the VA Hospital in Albany for over 10 years, and a lifetime member of the Moose Club in Johnstown.
The Trzaskos’ remain grateful to their Morgan Estates family and to the Highland Hospital Palliative Care Team, West 4 staff, and Hospice Team for their compassion and kindness.
Family and friends are invited to call Thursday 3 – 6 pm at the O’Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home, 2041 Lake Ave., Lima where her funeral service will be held at 6 pm following calling hours. Friday at 1 pm a graveside committal service will be held at St. John’s Cemetery, 244 Widow Susan Road, Amsterdam, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Hospice organization.
