He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Ellen (Fabio) Gear; children, Claire Gear, Patrick Gear; mother, Ruth Gear; sisters, Therese, Maria (Leif); brothers, Bill (Ann), Joe, John (Deidre), Kevin (Carla); many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his infant son, David Kevin Gear; father, William Gear.

Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday 4-7PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Thursday at 10AM his Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Church, Avon.
