Avon: Passed away peacefully on March 21, 2017 at age 94. She was the “sweetheart” of her predeceased husband, Alvie Mahar. She is survived by her children, David (Cathy) Mahar, Cathy (Samuel) Peri; grandchildren, Melissa (Lee) Rector, Sami Peri, Jonathan Mahar, Daren (Dawn) Mahar; great grandchildren, Raegan and Rylei Rector, Michael Salters; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call Sunday 4-7 PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Monday at 11 AM her Funeral Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, East Avon. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 5605 East Avon-Lima Road, Avon, NY 14414 or Avon Nursing Home Memorial Garden, 215 Clinton St., Avon, NY 14414.
