Kirkwood, Evelyn B. “Evie”
Lima: Passed away on April 21, 2015 at age 63. Evie is survived by her husband of 43 years, James D. Kirkwood; sons, James L. (Julie) Kirkwood of Brighton, David H. (Anna) Kirkwood of Lima; grandchildren, Molly, Kate, Lucy, Fred, Henry; her mother, Thea Bodenstaff; sisters, Nancy (Joe) Barkan of Geneseo, Louise (Richard) Utter of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews. Evie was predeceased by her father, Herman Bodenstaff with whom she shared her love for music. Evie’s life was full of family and friends; and she will be remembered for her kindness to others. She was active in the Lima Presbyterian Church, played the violin in Community Orchestras, and volunteered at the Teresa House in Geneseo. She especially loved her time with her children and grandchildren with whom she valued every minute. The Kirkwood family is grateful for the love, prayers and support given to Evie by so many friends and family, as well as the outstanding care provided by the Wilmot Cancer Center.
Family and friends are invited to call Sunday 4-7PM at the O’Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home, 2041 Lake Ave., Lima. Memorial Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Private Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima. In lieu of of flowers the Kirkwoods ask that you think of Evie and do something special for your family.
